Most days we are already tattooing someone and are unavailable for a walk-in. However, cancellations do happen now and again, and sometimes we finish early, so we may have unexpected free time to help you. You are welcome to come in and chat with us face-to-face to do a quick consult and get an appointment set.
Deposits are required to book an appointment. Be prepared to put down a deposit to hold your spot with your artist once you guys have started talking about your design. This topic gets a lot of questions, so if you want to find out more, click below to check out our deposit policy.
Evan is known for his vibrant watercolor work as well as his precise fine line black work and esoteric symbols and themes. Evan's vast occult and theological studies make him a good choice for symbolic and/or sacred works.
Dre prefers black work tattoos, she also loves small, detailed work, memorial tattoos, and blackouts, and is always trying to add magic to her designs in the form of symbols and sacred marks. She can be booked for private, intention based sessions and ritual tattoos. She also works in tandem with her husband and mentor, Evan for special clients.
Kristina is just under a year into her apprenticeship. She loves taking on color as well as black and gray pieces.
The Flying Dutchman has been in Antioch since 2008. We are here to provide the service of tattooing in our community, and we want each of our clients to have the best experience and work that we can give them. The current shop owners are a husband and wife from Southern California, Evan and Dre. They moved to the bay area in 2016 and took over as owners in 2018.
Evan's mentor was taught by Jack Rudy. He has been tattooing since the early 2000s and had his start just outside of the 29 Palms Marine base.
In 2019 after working most of her career in gallery art and photography, Dre started learning to tattoo as well.
We designed the shop around the client experience, your experience, and we hope that you are comfortable here. Our artists are kind people and this is a safe space for everyone. *Under 18 and hate excluded*
This is a neurodivergent friendly atmosphere as well, with nice smells, sounds, and lights. So if you're sensitive to any of those things, come check the place out for yourself and see if it is a good spot for you.
